Joyful Juniors Celebrate Milestones

The Junior class (now rising Seniors) had much to celebrate this spring.

First, on April 5th , the Junior class had their Ring Mass, a tradition that has spanned many years at Roman. The mass was held at St. Martin of Tours Church and was a great means to hand out the class rings to the 2019 class. Junior Daten Beasley (’19) says “The Ring Mass was a great experience, especially because it was in my parish. The combination of Roman and the community made it an unbelievable experience.”

Shortly thereafter on April 12th, the Junior class went on a retreat to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Here we met a group of priests and seminarians who talked to our class about the subject of vocations. There were fun activities sprinkled in, such as a one-on-one dodgeball tournament featuring the Junior contingent of the State Champion basketball team. Overall, the retreat was a great experience. Junior Anthony Pantalone commented “the retreat was a very fun and relaxing day”.

Finally on April 13th the Junior class was invited to the Junior Prom at the Philadelphia Ballroom in the Far Northeast Having attended myself, I can say that the Hall was decorated well, and the amenities were fantastic. One of my personal favorite parts of the night was the group prayer held before dinner. Junior Daniel McGinley agreed: “I had a great time, I especially liked the location itself.”
