Administrator Feature: Mr. Waters Comes Full Circle

Stephen H. '19, Staff Writer

This year, Roman welcomes a new disciplinarian to the school, Mr. Kevin Waters, who is no stranger to Broad and Vine. Mr. Waters is from Trooper, PA, where he attended Visitation BVM. He then graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School, before receiving his undergrad at Millersville and graduate degree from St. Joe’s.

Mr. Waters is back this year at the high school he started at, having worked in the school from 1984-1986. He finished out the 1986 school year at St. Pius X, and after a stop at Bonner from 1989-1993, he worked for 17 years at St. Pius X (1993-2010). For the last seven years, Mr. Waters has taught Science at Pope John Paul II and Archbishop Carroll High Schools.

Mr. Waters was most encouraged to come back to Roman because it was where he started his teaching career, and there are members of the faculty and administration that he was worked with previously including Father Bongard. Finally, in his first year back, Mr. Waters’ biggest goal is to observe the manner in which Roman operates to get a feel of where he fits in.
