Billy M. '19

Mrs. Sandra Kolander is Roman Catholic’s new librarian. Her duties as librarian began even before the start of the school year as she gave the incoming freshmen an insight into the various resources of the library during the freshmen orientation. Once school was in full swing, she started opening up the library before the start of each school day, allowing students to do their work. She also helps students with anything they need regarding the library’s resources.

Mrs. Kolander grew up in the Pennypack region of Northeast Philadelphia, and graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school, she went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Education and also received her law degree. Prior to coming to Roman, she was the librarian and taught English at Father Judge for 14 years. When ask what she loves about this school, her response was “the Roman people; the many students, faculty and staff.”
